The famous London luxury food retailer has opened a champagne bar in terminal 5 at Heathrow airport. It is an area where passengers passing through the terminal can relax with exquisite food and delicious cocktails. The project by Universal Design Studio features a large central island which also attracts consumers to the retail store opposite. The striking metal tube canopy is a complex work of craftsmanship, and all the glass components of the display cases running around the counter are also hand-made.

For this project, we produced the size 860×100 mm ceramic tiles which clad the island counter The bas-relief motif of the surface references the shape of the canopy structure over the bar, while the colour was achieved using a specific Pantone® glossy glaze which is a perfect match with the famous London brand’s Eau de Nil colour.
