Located in the historic district of San Cristoforo, the WPP Campus of Milan represents an important urban redevelopment project of an abandoned industrial area.

The redevelopment of the Campus, conceived by the BDG architecture and design studio (of the WPP Group) and created by the local partner 967arch, put sustainability at the heart of the project, maintaining the unique architectural footprint of the existing building and improving its performance of environmental impact.

Sustainability is one of the flagships and guiding principles of the Campus, in line with WPP’s commitment to achieve zero CO2 emissions by 2025.

Teamwork collaborated directly in concept phase of the interiors, together with the London studio BDG, customizing a coating in the co-working interior spaces.

These are flat and three-dimensional tiles, concave and convex, handmade, in an opaque anthracite colour. The use of this particular ceramic tile is intended to recall the initial sentiment of the project: the redevelopment of an industrial area where one of the most important ceramic factories in the city once stood: Richard Ginori.

Teamwork worked with various finishing samples, creating and developing a combination that blends perfectly with the internal concept of the project.
